DVA Claims — Diagnostic Assessments
The Diagnostic Assessment is the claim itself — the document a DVA delegate decides on. Every condition named, the Statement of Principles cited, and every factor argued to MET or NOT MET against the clinical entry that proves it.

Frequently asked questions
Are these real reports?
They are real VHC reports with the patient removed. Names, dates of birth, service numbers and file numbers are stripped and the details are changed, but the structure, reasoning and standard are exactly what we produce.
Will my report look like these?
Yes, in form. The content is specific to your record and your conditions, but the structure — diagnosis, Statement of Principles, referenced timeline, factors argued to MET or NOT MET — is the same every time.
Why publish them at all?
Because most veterans have never seen what a properly written claim document looks like, and cannot otherwise judge what they are paying for. Read one before you commit to anything.
Can I show these to my advocate?
Please do. Advocates and lawyers use them regularly to see what the medical evidence in a matter ought to look like.
